Wigs – Variety and Choice
Synthetic or human hair – that's the first decision. Hybrid wigs are also available. There's no clear better or worse option, as each type has its own advantages.
Real hair wigs
Human hair is characterized by its high level of comfort. It can be styled flexibly and in a variety of ways. Curls are just as possible as straight hair, and even color changes are possible with human hair. Wigs made of human hair cost more than those made of synthetic hair, but with proper care, they can be worn for about twice as long.
Kirstin Ellen Vietze has been working for many years with Marc Rieke's wig studio, which successfully runs one of the last wig manufacturers in Germany. Here, individual products are meticulously hand-knotted from the finest European natural hair.
Synthetic hair wigs
Synthetic hair is manufactured using a complex process and is the classic choice for wigs. It is now virtually indistinguishable from real hair. It impresses with its high volume, resilience, and relatively easy care. For temporary hair loss, such as during chemotherapy, most women opt for a synthetic hair wig – primarily for cost reasons.

Mixed hair wigs are an innovative compromise, a mix of real and synthetic hair that combines many advantages of both hair types.

How long you are satisfied with your real or synthetic hair wig depends largely on proper professional care. As a rule of thumb, synthetic wigs last about six months with proper care, and real hair wigs at least a year.
Our salon's services include the monthly Wash & Go care package, which guarantees professional treatment of your hairpiece and thus a longer lifespan. We also offer a repair service.
